Dr. Alexandra Harriss

Background:

Alexandra Harriss holds a Ph.D. and Master's of Physiotherapy from Western University. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Her extensive sporting background includes captaining the varsity soccer team during her undergraduate studies.

Professional Experience:

-Instructor at Langara College and expert in sport-related concussion with over ten peer-reviewed publications.

-Collaborated with the Ontario Soccer Association to mitigate injuries in soccer and presented at numerous national and international conferences on sport-related concussion.

- Certified in Dry Needling and completed Level 1 and Level 2 (Lower) manual therapy courses through the Canadian Orthopedic Division.

- Additional training in concussion management, vestibular rehabilitation, soft tissue techniques, and prevention of running injuries and assessment.

Passionate about helping clients of all ages and abilities achieve their goals. Utilizes a comprehensive approach to recovery combining manual therapy, education, and tailored exercises. Committed to understanding the underlying causes of injury to enhance recovery and prevent re-injury.

Personal Interests:

- Enjoys exploring the backcountry with her dog Ashlu, training for ultramarathons, and mountain biking in her spare time.
