A Place Built on Passion, Purpose & Growth
The Wellness Room was founded by Krissy Loffler with a simple vision: to create a welcoming space where people could improve their health, confidence, and overall well-being.
The journey began in 2017 in a 200-square-foot treatment room inside The Town Hub in Squamish. What started as a small massage practice has grown through years of dedication, education, and a commitment to exceptional client care.
In 2024, Krissy expanded the business by purchasing Garibaldi Active Wellness, which was renamed The Wellness Room Clinic. Today, The Wellness Room has two locations in Squamish:
The Wellness Room MediSpa on Mamquam Road, offering advanced skin treatments, spa massage, and medical aesthetics.
The Wellness Room Clinic on Tantalus Road, offering chiropractic care, registered massage therapy, and acupuncture.
The original 200-square-foot treatment room has since been transformed into the MediSpa—a reminder of where the journey began and how far it has come.
Krissy's Story
Growing up in Northern Alberta as the youngest of five children in a hardworking immigrant family, Krissy learned the importance of perseverance, community, and caring for others.
After moving to Whistler in her twenties, a serious snowboarding accident that resulted in a broken back changed the direction of her life. During her recovery, she discovered the powerful role that movement, manual therapy, and holistic healthcare can play in healing.
Inspired by her own experience, Krissy became a certified yoga instructor in 2006 and a Registered Massage Therapist in 2009. She later settled in Squamish, where she built her practice while raising her twin daughters and working toward her dream of creating a place where healthcare and wellness come together.
